Titan P.R.I.D.E.

 

One of our first endeavours as a team was to develop a behavioral matrix that we could post to remind our students what was expected of them in different areas of the school and school related events. In order to guide this development we developed the acronym P.R.I.D.E. 

 

Personal Responsibility - Respect - Integrity - Dedication - Engagement

 

The matrix was developed to be placed around the school so students and staff could have a visual reminder of the expectaions for different areas of the building. We further broke down the matrix into individualized areas and posted them in the appropriate locations.

 

Along with the development of the matrix, the team also developed an award system that teachers could issue, at their discretion, when they identified students exemplifying the behaviors on the matrix. The immediate reward is a branded Titan P.R.I.D.E. sticker. Along with the sticker comes the opportunity for the students to enter monthly drawings for a variety of prizes.
